film.culture360.org is a sub-site of ASEF’s cultural portal culture360.org. It enables professionals working in the film industry to share relevant information with a particular emphasis on Asian and European independent cinema. The website covers different programmes and opportunities that are available to young filmmakers and film producers who want to strengthen their exposure and collaborations at an international level.
The film.culture360.org website objectives are:
- to provide relevant information on different tools, programmes, platforms available for young filmmakers from Asia and Europe seeking regional or international collaboration
- to support young filmmakers from Asian and Europe by providing insights on practical experience and study cases by making them available to a wider audience
- to give voice to observers and active figures of the film sector in the two regions, in order to further understand the specificities of each countries and the synergies between the two.
- to contribute to the development of regional film policies and programmes to further nurture regional collaboration and support.
The website continues the mission of the former online platform, SEA-Images (Synergy Europe-Asia in the field of cinema), initiated during the 1st Asia-Europe Film Development Plan Meeting held in Manila on 12-14 August 2002.
