OVERVIEW
Organised by the ASEM Education Hub, this workshop brought together 20 distinguished researchers and practitioners in the field of higher education, finance, and economics from both continents.
Participants discussed the actual impact of the financial crisis on higher education across all ASEM countries, both at the institutional/national and international levels. The meeting’s objective was to create a reliable “snapshot” of the current situation of higher education institutions in ASEM countries.
The conclusions and recommendations of the workshop were presented at the 8th ASEM Summit, held in Brussels in October 2010, and the ASEM Rectors’ Conference, held in Korea in November 2010.
