ASEF Education Workshops

Overview

The ASEF Education Workshops were running between 2003-2006 and explored topics of increasing relevance in the field of higher education. They served as a platform for focused discussions on the changing context that affected the education sector in the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) countries. Through the presentation of case studies and the exchanges among the participants, the workshops generates ideas which result in expert recommendations that feeded into the agenda of the biennial ASEM Rectors’ Conference and Students’ Forum (ARC). Policy recommendations resulting from the ARC were then presented to ASEM governments, through the Asia-Europe Meeting of Ministers for Education (ASEMME).
