The ASEM Education Policy Conference Series is part of the ASEF Education Policy Programme[1], which consists of 2 other components:
- The ASEF Rectors’ Conference and Students’ Forum (ARC), which has been designated as the Official Dialogue Partner of the ASEM Education Ministers’ Meeting (ASEM ME)
- ASEM Initiatives in the field of education, the ASEM Education Ministers’ Meeting (ASEM ME), and major international conferences highly relevant for the ASEM Education Process
The Conference Series reinforces the multi-stakeholder approach of the ASEM Education process and brings together researchers, university leaders, government officials, representatives of international organisations (IOs), non-governmental organisations (NGOs), as well as business and industry to discuss lifelong learning issues concerning both Asia and Europe. The dialogue is aimed to produce evidence-based policy recommendations for the ASEM Education Process and quality inputs for various academic publications on Lifelong Learning, particularly on TVET, e-learning and youth employment.
In 2015, ASEF will support 4 major conferences initiated by the ASEM Education & Research Hub for Lifelong Learning (ASEM LLL Hub):
- ASEM Lifelong Learning Forum: Renewing the Agenda for Emerging Challenges and Demands, 9-12 March 2015, Bali, Indonesia
- ASEM Education Meeting on e-Learning: Self-learning in a Digital Era, 2-4 November 2015, New Delhi, India
- ASEM Education Conference on TVET and Workplace Learning: Intergenerational learning: workplace learning, community learning and learning within the family, 19-20 November 2015, Brno, Czech Republic
- ASEM Education Conference on National Lifelong Learning Strategies: Engaging Young People in Lifelong Learning, 30 November – 2 December 2015, Melbourne, Australia
