OVERVIEW
At this event, several questions were discussed by civil society representatives:
– What are the creative initiatives from civil societies in favour of cultural diversity?
– To what extent are they relevant to promote cultural diversity in a concrete way?
– What is the nature of the obstacles and challenges faced by civil society’s initiatives?
– How could initiatives from civil society become references and models for the promotion of cultural diversity?
The ASEF presented recommendations from the workshop to the 2nd ASEM Culture Ministers’ Meeting on 8 June 2005, and to the 2nd World Culturelink conference on 10 June 2005.
