The 2030 Agenda was adopted by the UN General Assembly in September 2015, whereupon countries were encouraged to take ownership of the process of implementing the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) in light of their respective national realities, capacities, and priorities. “Cambodia National Workshop on SDGs Implementation: National Implementation Challenges” offered a platform for government officials to discuss the challenges the country face in implementing SDGs and the potential steps and measures to be taken.
This workshop was co-organised with the Hanns Seidel Foundation (HSF) Viet Nam Office, hosted by the Cambodian Ministry of Planning (MoP) and National Institute of Statistics (NIS). It gathered participants from various line ministries and other relevant stakeholders directly involved in the SDGs process in Cambodia.
Participants benefited from input presentations and took part in working groups to discuss the action points for the implementation of SDGs in Cambodia. The ultimate aim of the workshop was to contribute to the national implementation process in Cambodia by providing the platform for mutual learning and cooperation.
