OVERVIEW
The 19th and 20th instalments of the Lecture Tour series featured two high-profile speakers who travelled and delivered their presentations in tandem in Asian and European cities.
Bernhard Zepter provided the European perspective, and his lecture explained some features of European integration with particular relevance for
Asian countries or regional organisations. Zepter also examined the political dimension of European integration, illustrating that the European model of regionalisation goes beyond economic integration and has thus started to shape new patterns of international law.
For the Asian perspective, Rodolfo Severino examined the relevance of the European experience for Asia, with a focus on the evolution and current state of Asian regionalism in ASEAN and the larger region of East Asia.
