- Evaluation of the shortlisted AEC Projects developed from the last conference in Ireland
ASEF will shortlist six AEC project groups from over 30 entries to compete for the AEC Awards (Gold and Merit) in October 2012. The AEC Awards recognises innovative, effective and sustainable online projects for Asian and European students to learn from each other. These interactive and intercultural online projects are planned and facilitated by secondary and high school teachers from Asia and Europe.
The Gold Award winning groups will each walk away with EUR 2,000 cash prize, followed by EUR 500 for the Merit Award groups. Please click here to view the list of AEC Projects for 2011/2012.
The results will be published in the October issue of the AEC-NET quarterly e-newsletter.
- Submission and implementation of new AEC project proposals for 2012/2013
These are the collaborative projects that are proposed and submitted online (ongoing), covering various themes and topics. These AEC projects will be implemented over a period of 5 to 9 months and should be completed by 31 July 2013.
Launched in 1998, the Asia-Europe Classroom Network (AEC-NET) is a programme conceptualised to enrich learning and teaching through the use of ICT among secondary and high schools in ASEM countries. Through its activities, the AEC-NET provides opportunities for collaborative learning and intercultural exchanges. It is also an effective instrument to raise the ASEM awareness for people at an early age.
