ASEF Unplugged: Conversations on the Arts in Asia and Europe
ASEF’s work in culture: what we do & why we do what we do
In cooperation with the Kultura Nova Foundation, the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF), headquartered in Singapore, is organising the 16th edition of ASEF Unplugged – Conversations on the Arts in Asia and Europe on Friday, 26 April, 13:00 at the Europe House in Zagreb, in the Strasbourg Hall.
ASEF Unplugged was launched by the ASEF initiative in May 2018 in Prague as a series of events that offers an informal and intimate space for open, authentic conversations between participants on relevant topics of art, culture, and heritage.
Croatia as a member of ASEF and its parent ASEM (Asia-Europe Meeting) is entitled to different opportunities for cultural co-operation and networking. ASEF’s project manager for culture, Fatima Avila, will briefly present the opportunities offered to Croatian artists, organisations and all other stakeholders in the field of culture and art, including: providing information to Croatian artists through the web pages of culture360.asef.org; providing financial support for travel to various events and for artists from Croatia; inform about the possibilities for capacity building and networking through the network of ASEMUS museums; as well as about the possibility of organising events in Croatia within the ASEF’s work.
In order to respond in the best possible way to the needs of the arts and culture community in Croatia, apart from presenting about ASEF’s work, all participants are invited to present their work and experience on this informal gathering, and together with the ASEF’s representative, plan for collaborations in the future.
The event is free but registration is a must. Kindly register at by 18 April at: http://kulturanova.hr/upitnik/44
