ASEF culture360 is pleased to announce the launch of Creative Responses to Sustainability – Indonesia Guide.
This book is the 3rd in a series of guides looking at the connection between art and sustainability in different countries in Asia. The previous 2 Guides focuse published in 2015 and 2016 focused on Singapore and Korea. The Guide for Indonesia follows the same model and maps cultural initiatives across the country engaging with social and environmental issues.
Commissioned by ASEF culture360 and authored by Ms Yasmine OSTENDORF, the initiator of the EU funded network Green Art Lab Alliance (GALA), this guide will feature a directory of the 25 most pioneering and significant cultural organisations in Indonesia contributing to social and environmental change through their artistic practice.
The green guides build on the discussions initiated by GALA since 2012 and on ASEF’s engagement with the topic of artists and climate change in global dialogues around environmental sustainability, through its Connect2Culture programme (2008-2011).
More Guides will follow in 2017-18.
