OVERVIEW
The ASEF provided Cultural Grants to seven Asian and European artists in order to support their participation in the “MixMax” exhibition, held at Artsonje Center in Seoul. The exhibition showcased artists whose work was based on the concept of a “mix,” and some of the featured “mixes” included:
– Viewpoints (Sung Won Kim and Bernard Marcade)
– Art and fashion (Size Maker)
– Art and music (a six artist performance)
– Art and design (Soo Kyung Lee)
– Ceramics (Fabrice Hybert) and drawing (Jean-Francois Moriceau and Petra Mrjyk)
– Installation and cinema (Christelle Lheureux and Joe Apitchapong)
– Art and drugs (Jan Christensen)
– Art, war, and games (Young-Hae Chang Heavy Industries)
– Art and sexuality (Inwhan Oh)
– Art and syncretic identity (Bruno Peinado)
