The AIBD/ASEF Workshop on TV Youth Magazines in Brunei from 10th-16th December, 2003 was co-organised with the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (aibd.org.my) and Radio Television Brunei (RTB).
The five-day workshop, led by Susanne Rieschel, was aimed at planning a TV Youth magazine programme for an audience between 13-17 years of age. This programme was intended to encourage the young people to identify themselves with their own culture by confronting to cope with the problems of adolescence, and to share their experiences on overcoming certain fears, dealing with emotional problems, and learning to express themselves. The programme included telling stories taken from everyday life, stories that were entertaining, informative, interesting, humorous, and imaginative.
