The 9th Asia-Europe Workshop on Cultural and Educational TV Documentary Programmes was conducted from 1st-13th April, 2002 in Brunei. This workshop was part of the series ASEF had been organising with the Asia-Pacific Institute for Broadcasting Development (AlSO) since August 2001.
Apart from documentaries, other types of TV programmes were studied, such as children’s TV programmes, youth magazines and Internet broadcasting.
Nezha Cohen, Producer, Television Audiovisuel Cinema pour Tous, TACT Production (France) led the five day workshop attended by 12 TV producers from Brunei (Radio TV Brunei)]. The workshop covered the making of a documentary from the script and production analysis to the shooting, editing and marketing. The focus of the documentaries was on preservation and promotion of Cultural Heritage.
