Sixty-three participants from 20 ASEM member countries attended this event to discuss the following topics:

– The political and economic arguments for the WTO millennium round

– The emerging agenda

– Developing countries’ interests in WTO negotiations

The event concluded with a panel discussion and short presentations, which led to a wide-ranging exchange of views.
