OVERVIEW
The 8th edition of the AEC-NET Conference was held on the theme “The Impact of Climate Change and Sustainable Development Within the School Community.” It brought together 77 educators from 55 schools to initiate and participate in collaborative information and communication technology projects. Thirty-one AEC projects — mostly focused on environmental and sustainable development — were proposed for development in 2009/2010.
Several AEC Project Groups also received the AEC Award for outstanding achievement in advancing the principal objectives of the AEC initiative:
- Backpackers’ Passports
- Local Traditions And Ceremonies – Weddings Are Made In Heaven
- WHAZZUP!
In addition, Excellence Award Certificates were conferred to three AEC Award Finalists:
- Local Industry and Enterprise 2008/2009
- Mastering Media – Fact or Fiction? The Truth Behind Reality TV
