OVERVIEW
The eighth instalment of ASEF University brought together 34 students for a two-week congress to compare and contrast unilateralism versus multilateralism for future international orders. The students were given an insight to the fundamentals of world order, and were prompted to assess the prospective use of multilateralism in resolving recent global problems. They also attended a full-day scenario-planning exercise on the future of multilateralism.
Aside from the academic programme, students also acquainted themselves with the rich history and culture of England through visits to Oxford, London, and Stratford-upon-Avon. They visited historical structures such as St. Paul’s Cathedral, the Tower Bridge, Shakespeare’s birthplace, and the Corpus Christi College headed by Sir Tim Lankester, who is the ASEF Governor for UK.
