OVERVIEW
This fourth instalment of the dialogue brought together 70 youths from 33 ASEM member countries to hold discussions on the theme “Education For Tolerance: The Role Of Youth And Civil Society Organisations In Promoting Active Citizenship.”
Launched in 2002, the AYD has become an annual forum for youth representatives in Asia and Europe. It offers a platform for youths to articulate their views on issues on the ASEM agenda. Participants also have the opportunity to hear the insights of guest speakers. The main outcome of the AYD are the ASEM Youth Statements, which capture the common positions of the participants.
