At this lecture, speaker Teo Siew Yean identified factors that have impacted gender wage differentials in Asia and Europe. Further, her lecture addressed a pertinent question: Should the focus of policy to narrow the gender wage gap be on enforcing equal pay within occupations, or on redistributing female employees between occupations?
