OVERVIEW
The 10th edition of the ASEF University programme brought together 38 scholars from 35 universities in ASEM member countries to discuss the historic enlargement of the EU to include 10 countries in Central Europe and the Mediterranean and the potential implications of this development.
The academic programme was organised around two modules:
– The Enlargement Of The EU And The Future Of Europe
– Regional Integration In Asia And Asia-Europe Relations
Distinguished lecturers from the host country and senior academics from Asia and Europe were invited to hold seminars and discussions. ASEF University organisers also held two public symposia featuring panel discussions by the guest lecturers, which allowed the general student and academic community in the host university to benefit from the insights of the speakers.
