Under the topic “Media Trust & Information in the Digital Age”, the 12th ASEF Journalists’ Seminar (ASEFJS12), at the side-lines of the 14th ASEM Foreign Ministers’ Meeting (ASEMFMM14) in Madrid last December, enabled a diverse exchange of ideas about the role of Media in our societies.
ASEFJS12 was exceptional, due the rich diversity of perspectives on how journalistic practices and innovative tools could serve as a credible way for media to be considered trustworthy.
To capture the flavour and content of the discussions, we have put together this Media Handbook on the ASEFJS12. It includes articles that we believe will facilitate a better understanding about what trust in the media and information sharing looks like from both Asian and European perspectives. It also highlights the challenges that journalists and those involved in media communications face in the Digital Age.
