Asia-Europe Film Meeting

Overview

The Asia-Europe Film Meeting (previously known as the “Asia-Europe Film Development Plan Meeting”) provides young film professionals with new tools and ideas to develop their work. It also encourages dialogue among film professionals from Asia and Europe.

Our Goals

• Provide young and emerging professionals in the film industry with intensive and targeted training on Asia-Europe film issues.
• Create new platforms for dialogue.
• Encourage the exchange of best practices.
• Link professionals and emerging professionals from Asia and Europe.
• Foster the development of film projects and collaborations.

Our Work

The Asia-Europe Film Meeting gathers up to 25 young film professionals each year to tackle issues relating to the development and promotion of independent cinema in both regions. The results of these meetings have included:

• Career opportunities for young film professionals.
• The implementation of new film funds.
