Wasteland Twinning Network Forum public event has been organised at ZK/U Berlin, Germany between 21-23 September 2012.
The Wasteland Twinning is a collaborative research focuses on use of urban spaces in relation to communities, culture and environmental factors. The research has been shared during a public symposium and documentary exhibition in Berlin, Germany.
The exhibition and public forum brought together the international project partners Europe, Asia and Australia to present their a collaborative research and an exploration of urban wastelands and networked trans-disciplinary practice in five cities, Amsterdam, Berlin, Guwahati, Nottingham, and Yogyakarta.
Project partners are Wasteland Twinning (Germany), Yap Sau Bin (Malaysia), Ferdiansyah Thajib (Indonesia), Tim Vos (The Netherlands), Desire Machine Collective (India) and Rebecca Beinart (United Kingdom).
The forum is supported by the Asia-Europe Foundation as part of the programme Creative Encounters: Cultural Partnerships between Asia and Europe.
