ASEF will be cooperating with the Ridge View Residential College (RVRC) of the National University of Singapore (NUS) to organise a workshop for NUS students on sustainability. This workshop will be held on 20 August 2016 in ASEF’s premises.
The workshop on Visualising Interconnections for Sustainable Development will help NUS students to learn appropriate methodologies for implementing sustainable development projects in their local communities. The workshop methodology will draw on elements of systems thinking, a framework that will allow students to visualise issues in sustainability through a systems lens and identify dynamic relationships between key driving factors for/against sustainable development.
Participants of the workshop will undertake their own projects on implementing sustainable solutions in their communities using the skillsets they will acquire from the workshop. A winning team, selected by ASEF and RVRC, may be given the chance to participate in an Asia-Europe Environment Forum (ENVforum) conference later this year.
