16 Japanese students from Aoyama Gakuin, a private university located in Tokyo, visited ASEF on 12 September 2013 to learn about the organisation and its activities in the field of culture. The students were led by Ms Mariko OKA-FUKUROI, Professor at the School of Cultural and Creative Studies.
Mr Paul KOH, ASEF’s Director of Public Affairs, delivered an introductory speech about ASEF’s mission and objectives. He was followed by Ms Anupama SEKHAR, Deputy Director of ASEF’s Culture Department, who gave a general overview of ASEF’s cultural activities notably in the field of cultural policies. Other presentations included ASEF’s cultural online portal culture360.org, as well as the 17th ASEF University on cultural heritage organised in 2011 by the Education Department.
