A public lecture by Assoc. Prof. Miro Hacek entitled, “Small State Influence in International Organisations: The Case of Slovenia” was hosted by ASEF together with the National University of Singapore (NUS) and the University of Ljubljana – Faculty of Social Science (UL-FSS).
Prof. Hacek presented the background of Slovenia and its transition from the break-up of the former Yugoslavia to its membership of the European Union and its proactive role in the international community. During the lecture he also shared the findings from his new publication, “Political System of Slovenia”, a joint initiative between the University of Ljubljana and the Slovenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
This lecture was the final stop of a five-stop tour in Asia, taking place in four locations in China (Beijing, Shanghai, Hong Kong SAR, Macau SAR) prior to Singapore.
