The International Civil Aviation Organization invited ASEF to the 5th Meeting of the Cooperative Arrangement for the Prevention of Spread of Communicable Disease through Air Travel Asia Pacific (CAPSCA-AP), in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia (19-21 April 2012).
Ms Sunkyoung Lee, ASEF’s Intellectual Exchange team member, participated in this Meeting. She presented the concept behind ASEF Public Health Network’s project on multi-sectoral pandemic preparedness and response (ASEF-ASAP: Accurate Scenarios Active Preparedness). She also shared the outcomes from the strategy development workshop on pandemic and public health emergencies in the passenger air transport sector which was organised in Budapest (December 2011).
Organisers and participants supported ASEF’s scenarios development methodology in preventing future pandemic and public health emergencies.
