The Editors’ Roundtable is the top media programme of the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF). This biennial programme is a networking opportunity for editors and senior commentators representing leading media agencies in Asia and Europe.
The sixth edition of the Asia-Europe Editors’ Roundtable, “Multiple Currencies for a Multi-polar World”, organised this year in Bangkok, Thailand (12-13 October 2012), will be in partnership with the Royal Institute of International Affairs, Chatham House. The event will be in conjunction with the ASEM 10th Finance Ministers Meeting (FinMM). The recommendations from the Roundtable will be shared with the Senior Officials from the FinMM.
About 15 experts from the fields of economy and society and senior media commentators from The Economist, Thomson Reuters, Kyodo News and Channel News Asia will be attending the Roundtable. During the sessions, the speakers and participants will look deeper into the shifting economic realities and examine the reforms needed in the International Monetary System from Asian and European perspectives.
