For the first time the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) and On the Move (OTM) are jointly presenting the Mobility Funding Guides for International Cultural Exchangein 49 Asian and European countries. Along with the 3rd edition of the Mapping of Funding Opportunities for International Cultural Exchange in Asia, which presents mobility funding resources for 19 Asian countries, this year, updated guides for 27 countries of the European Union, as well as Norway, Switzerland and the Russian Federation are also presented.
In addition to these 49 country-specific guides, a guide with a Focus on Asia and a guide open to any nationality will also be available for free download on ASEF’s culture360 and OTM’s websites.
ASEF and OTM have worked together with partner organisations since 2012 to promote access to information on mobility for artists and cultural professionals in Asia and Europe. These guides were compiled in response to recommendations of the ASEM[1] Cultural Ministers. The recommendations were reinforced at the last 6th ASEM Culture Ministers’ Meeting (ASEM CMM6) in October 2014 in Rotterdam, the Netherlands.
The international approach of the mobility funding guides helps to position the discussion on cultural mobility funding in a global perspective in order to better respond to local needs and interests from the cultural sector.
The guides are available for free download on ASEF culture360
