On 3 December 2018, ASEF had the pleasure of welcoming the renowned Polish sculptor Jerzy KEDZIORA to our premises.

Mr Kedziora was present to install and unveil one of his famed balancing sculptures, ‘The Infinity’.

According to the artist, the sculpture represents the endless balancing act that humans have to perform in our everyday lives – at work, in our personal lives and so on. As a celebratory toast to the occasion, Mr Kedziora raised his glass and said, “I’m very honoured. Thank you very much for allowing us to be here today.”

‘The Infinity’ is part of the Polish Art Trail in Singapore – a series of sculptures by Mr Kedziora which can be found at the Singapore Botanic Gardens and on Bras Basah Road, among other locations.

As the artist describes it:

“The created sculptures of mine identify the unreal dream of walking on a slackline, which accompany maney people. However, we should interpret it in the broader context like some extraordinary ecstasy and finding oneself in a totally different reality. My art is aiming at receiving a new perspective which will change the current point of an observer’s view.”

ASEF would like to thank Mr Kedziora and Fundacja Art&Balance for this special piece of art, that will enrich our premises and other parts of Singapore for the coming months.
