The Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) is delighted and honoured to support the 6th General Conference of the Asia-Europe Museum Network (ASEMUS) at the Weltmuseum in Vienna. We invite you to join us in Vienna to exchange ideas between museum professions from Asia and Europe on the theme of “Exploring Borders”.
In the special plenary session titled ‘The Post-Colonial Museum : Vision and Trends in Asia and Europe’, ASEF is proud to support prominent keynote speakers; Prof. Amareswar Galla, Executive Director of the International Institute for the Inclusive Museum (Denmark) will speak about ‘Inclusive Leadership’, Yasmin Khan, Independent Cultural Advisor (United Kingdom) will speak about ‘Gender and Diversity: Museums as Meeting Points of Intersectionality’ and Prof Hong-Bin Kang, Director History Museum of Seoul (Republic of Korea) will speak about ‘Empathy with the Unexperienced: City Museums for Living Together Differently’. ASEF also invite Dr. Venu Vasudevan, Director General, National Museum of India as a discussant to this panel. Ms. Fionnuala Croke, New ASEMUS Chair (2015-2017), Director, Chester Beatty Library (Republic of Ireland) will moderate the session.
