Dr Aurelia Frick, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Principality of Liechtenstein, paid a courtesy visit to ASEF on 21 April.
Dr Frick, who is also the Minister of Justice and Minister of Cultural Affairs, was accompanied by Mr Christian Wenaweser, Permanent Representative for Liechtenstein to the UN; Mr Rene Bruelhart, Director of the Financial Intelligence Unit and Ms Sandra Ruppen, Senior Adviser to the Minister. The Minister was received by ASEF Deputy Executive Director Ambassador Nguyen Quoc Khanh. Dr. Frick was interested in the activities of ASEF, in particular our cultural exchanges programmes.
Ambassador Khanh presented Minister Frick with a copy of “A Passage to Asia: 25 Centuries of Exchanges between Asia and Europe”. This is the catalogue of the succesful exhibition held at the Centre for Fine Arts (BOZAR) in Brussels, to commemorate the ASEM8 Summit. ASEF was one of the supporters of the project.
Dr Frick was in Singapore at the invitation of Singaporean Minister for Foreign Affairs George Yeo. She has also met with Minister for Information, Communications and the Arts, Lui Tuck Yew and with Senior Minister of State for Law and Home Affairs Associate Professor Ho Peng Kee. In addition, Dr Frick visited the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy, the National National Museum of Singapore and the Supreme Court.
