The Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS) together with the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) is organizing a webinar about Asia and Europe cooperation to ensure the smooth functioning of the gas market.
Europe is struggling to wean itself off its dependency on piped natural gas. Overcoming this dependency will require some fuel switching and energy savings in Europe, which will take time. Thus, Europe and Asia will become competitors in the global market. What does it mean for the market itself and what will be the impact of higher LNG prices on Asian demand? What is the short-term potential for fuel switching in Asia? How will Europe and Asia cooperate to ensure the smooth functioning of the LNG market?
