More than 60 young Cambodian leaders attended the 1st ASEF Capacity Training on Leadership and Entrepreneurship on 30 November – 2 December 2015 in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. The Capacity Training was organised by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) in partnership with the Union of the Youth Federations of Cambodia (UYFC) and supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia.
The Capacity Training Series on Leadership and Entrepreneurship is a spin-off opportunity from the ASEF Young Leaders Summit (ASEFYLS) that was organised on 1-5 November 2015 in Luxembourg. These trainings are designed to bring renowned business or public sector leaders to young leaders in 3 selected countries. Other trainings will take place in Bangladesh and Pakistan in 2016.
Mr Emad ZAND, Chairman of Board, Sqore (Sweden), and Ms Maria TANDECK, International Relations and Legal Officer at “Profesja” (Poland), taught the participants self-leadership and team management skills and how to achieve goals.
Mr SOK Chea, ?ASEM Contact Point for ?Cambodia described the Capacity Training as an “opportunity to intensify [participants’] know-how knowledge and fruitfully apply this knowledge into day-to-day business operation”. After the training the majority of participants’ admitted that it significantly contributed to their self-knowledge and leadership skills and gave ideas on how to implement the training into their daily lives.
