The revamped culture360.org community section was launched on 14 November 2012 as an interactive online space for exchange of information, dialogue and collaboration between artists, cultural practitioners and policy makers. Through this new interface, culture360.org seeks to highlight the most interesting content published by its members across the blogs, online groups and forums, as well as social networking and image-sharing sites.
This community section will be a useful online resource for good practices, project ideas, and collaborative ventures in the fields of arts and culture across Asia and Europe. Cultural professionals can sign up as members, free of charge. They can use the tools and resources to share their projects and ideas with peers from across the Asia-Europe Meeting (ASEM) region. Discussions on Asian and European common areas of interest, such as the development potential for creative industries and cultural heritage, will be particularly encouraged.
culture360.org is a portal that stimulates the cultural engagement between Asia and Europe. It is initiated by ASEM and managed by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) to enhance greater understanding between the two regions. It was launched in 2008 and has been identified by the United Nations Educational Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as one of the existing mechanisms for cultural information exchange in the context of the UNESCO Convention on the Protection and the Promotion of the Diversity of Cultural Expressions (2005).
