The Asia-Europe Energy Policy Forum will organise a side-event to the Twenty-Third Session of the Conference of Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP23) on 13 November 2017 in Bonn, Germany.
The side-event “Climate and energy policies towards a low carbon future in Asia and Europe” will be jointly organised with the Korean Centre for Climate and Sustainable Development Law and Policy (CSDLAP), and hosted by the government of Korea in their national pavilion.
With this second side-event to a COP conference, the Asia-Europe Energy Policy Forum aims to enhance international dialogue and knowledge exchange on good practices for the adoption of renewables and low-carbon solutions in Asia and Europe. Thanks to the participation of experts experienced in analysing and drafting low emission growth strategies, this side-event will explore opportunities and identify challenges in the development of a low carbon roadmap.
This side-event will also provide the opportunity to showcase the recent publication “Handbook for ASEAN Government Officials on Climate Change and SDGs”, available here.
