This new issue of our newsletter collects a set of recent developments, opportunities and resources
which we hope will be relevant and useful to anyone with an interest in museums and in collaboration between Asia and Europe.
Several courses and conferences on museum education, museum management and other related issues will be taking place in the next few months, some of which provide financial support and other opportunities for participation. We also report on some new publications and toolkits in the fields of museum values and sustainable tourism.
As you know, through the Educational Exchange and Outreach Programme, ASEMUS has over the years enabled museum educators in Asia and Europe to meet and carry out projects together. One of the latest experiences involved professionals from Finland and Viet Nam: we invite you to read about their experience in this latest newsletter.
ASEMUS members are also active in presenting high-quality exhibitions. In this issue, you can read about an exhibition of Chinese art in Poland, as well as new galleries of Japanese art in Greece. You
will also find an update about the ‘Curating Batik’ project, which brings together curators from Austria, the Czech Republic, Indonesia and Switzerland.
We invite you to keep regularly updated of these initiatives by visiting our website, as well as our Facebook profile. The ASEMUS website allows quick access to our list of members, which continues to grow. You are also encouraged to inform us of any relevant news that could be useful to other members of the ASEMUS community.
