This new issue of our newsletter presents a range of activities related to ASEMUS, its members and other issues of interest to museum management and museum cooperation in Asia and Europe.
Among them is an introduction to one of this year’s museum staff exchange projects, which will bring together professionals from China and Latvia. We are also pleased to introduce a set of mobility funding guides for 49 countries in Asia and Europe, jointly developed by the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) and On The Move. In addition, a project on batik involving two ASEMUS member museums has been supported under ASEF’s Creative Networks programme.
We are always pleased to introduce new ASEMUS members. On this newsletter you will find a profile of the Philippines’ Museo Negrense de La Salle. You are also invited to visit our website to see other museum profiles.
In a recent interview, ASEMUS Vice-Chair Alan Chong discusses the importance of museum networking and introduces the activities planned by the Asian Civilisations Museum on the occasion of the Singapore’s 50th anniversary, taking place in 2015.
Finally, this newsletter collects information on several recent publications, ongoing exhibitions and forthcoming conferences.
