Every year, 1st March marks the ASEM Day celebration—a promising occasion to promote cooperation, partnership and connectivity between Asia and Europe. This day celebrates the importance of connecting the two continents, based on the principles of equal partnership and mutual respect.
In 2021, it also marks the 25th Anniversary of the ASEM Process, which was established in 1996. On this special event, the European Union (EU) along with the Asia Europe Foundation (ASEF) and the Centre for Fine Art Brussels (BOZAR), is organising the ASEM Day Virtual Celebration on Sunday, 7th March 2021.
The programme for this virtual celebration features:
- Launch of Digital Exhibition – A Passage to Asia: 25 centuries of exchange between Asia & Europe
- Dialogue forum on “State of play, perspectives and new forms of cooperation between Asian and European museums”
