From 21 – 25 June 2022, ASEF brought together 9 of the #ASEFYLS4 Navigators, students & young professionals from Asia and Europe, to participate in the final component of their ASEFYLS4 Leadership Journey – a Debrief and Reporting event in Bangkok, Thailand. This component was held as a side-event of the 43rd ASEF Board of Governors meeting.
The purpose of the ASEFYLS Navigators Debrief & Reporting was to provide a space of reflection & exchanges for the ASEFYLS4 Navigators who led the Leadership in Action Projects and supported over 150 young participants from Asia and Europe as Team Leaders. In addition it aimed to give the Navigators the opportunity to share their leadership experiences with ASEF’s Board of Governors, providing the youth perspective on Asia-Europe collaboration.

Reflection: Peer-to-peer exchange on their Self, Team & Societal Leadership journeys since the ASEFYLS4 Navigators: Training in 2020
Dialogues: Roundtable discussion on Youth Participation with Senior SDG experts, Professor Pornchai MONGKHONVANIT (President, Siam University) & Asst Professor Chol BUNNAG (Director, SDG Move) & intercultural exchanges with local students from Mahidol University on Youth Leadership
SDG Study Visit: Tour around the SDG Lab at Puey Park, Thammasat University
Reporting: Speaking slot in the Opening Session of the 43rd ASEF Board of Governors Meeting (ASEFBoG43) & a Presentation to the Governors on their experiences of ASEF’s Youth Leadership programme
The ASEFYLS4 Navigators: Debrief & Reporting was supported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand, as the host of the 43rd ASEF Board of Governors Meeting.
