77 Teachers from 27 ASEM Countries embarked on the ASEFClassNet2022 School Collaboration journey on “Holistic Learning Environments for Innovative Teaching & Learning” on Thursday, 22 September 2022. ASEF’s Executive Director, Ambassador Toru MORIKAWA, welcomed the participants and encouraged them to build their capacity on the topic as well as networks and long lasting friendships through the Collaboration.
The goal of the School Collaboration is to enable its participants improve their teaching practices in a holistic way that positively influence learning environments in their classrooms as well as schools. To achieve this, the programme is designed with various thematic and peer-to-peer pedagogical capacity building opportunities in 3 phases:
1) Self-Learning Phase | 1 Keynote & 5 Thematic Sessions
2) Team-Learning and |2 Peer-to-Peer Sessions
3) Action-Learning | Designing an “Innovative Teaching Practice” in groups of 3-5 teachers
Participants will learn from experts and peers during 1st and 2nd phases, then work together in teams to build Innovative Teaching Practices during 3rd phase.
Through this Collaboration ASEF aims to contribute to the existing international effort on promoting holistic teaching and learning.
