ASEF supports THRIVE Networking Culture Leaders meeting in Singapore from 28 – 31 August 2015.
The public session, ‘Global issues for cultural networking: Perspectives from Asia and Europe’ will be co-chaired by Ms Audrey WONG, Programme Leader, MA Arts & Cultural Management and BA (Hons) Arts Management, LASALLE, and Ms Sarah GARDNER, Executive Director, International Federation of Arts Councils and Culture Agencies (IFACCA). Speakers will include Mr Shahidul ALAM (Drik Picture Library), Bangladesh; Ms Lea O’LOUGHLIN, (representing Res Artis), UK; Mr Phloeun PRIM (Cambodian Living Arts), Cambodia; and Ms Aleksandra UZELAC (Culturelink), Croatia; followed by discussion.
The session follows the four day THRIVE workshop which brings together leaders of 16 culture networks from Asia and Europe in Singapore to share experiences and discuss ways to improve the operations and impact of networks. The workshop is aimed at developing the leadership skills and relationships that are required to sustain networks and enable them to thrive.
THRIVE is presented by IFACCA, European League of Institutes of the Arts (ELIA) and Arts Network Asia (ANA) and the presenting partner is LASALLE College of the Arts (Faculty for the Creative Industries). The project is supported by ASEF Creative Networks of the Asia-Europe Foundation (ASEF) and by the National Arts Council of Singapore.
