ASEF Public Health Network presented the outcome form the Forum on SFMs ASEF PHN hosted with MoH Cambodia at the webinar “Roundtable: Medicine Quality & innovations to detect Substandard and Falsified Medicines (SFMs)”. Ms Riko KIMOTO, Project Manager for Public Health emphasised the importance of both cross-sectoral and international collaboration to combat SFMs, and one country alone cannot solve this issue. The outcome presented by ASEF formed a base of the discussion for the round table.
The event was organised by the Asia Pacific Leaders’ Malaria Alliance (APLMA), United States Pharmacopeia (USP), The Medicines We Can Trust campaign, UNITAID, and The RBM Partnership to End Malaria (RBM) and took place on 2 Dec 2020. The audience consisted of senior officials from ministries of health and finance and heads of national regulatory authorities (NRAs) in Asia Pacific.
