ASEF participation in the ASEM Education Action Plan 2030 Virtual Workshops
From 19 January 2021 to 9 February 2021, ASEF’s Education Department joined and supported the ASEM Education Secretariat in 4 virtual workshops aimed to discuss and shape actions, initiatives, projects and activities intended to be included in the ASEM Education Action Plan 2030 which will be presented at the 8th ASEM Education Ministers’ Meeting (ASEMME8).
ASEF’s Director of the Education Department, Ms Leonie NAGARAJAN joined the panel of experts in the second workshop on “Enhancing Connectivity between Asia and Europe by Boosting Inclusive and Balanced Mobility and Exchanges” alongside Dr. Keuk-Je SUNG (Director General of the ASEM DUO Secretariat), Mr Adrian VEALE (Policy Officer, European Commission, DG EAC Unit C3 – International Cooperation) and Dr. Chantavit SUJATANOND (Centre Director, SEAMEO-RIHED).
Ms Reka TOZSA (Project Manager, ASEF’s Education Department) also moderated a brainstorming session in the fourth workshop in “Lifelong Learning (LLL), Including Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET)”.
ASEF’s Education Department works closely with the ASEM Education Secretariat in furthering the ASEM Education Process and bringing the input of Asian and European Education stakeholders to the ASEM Education Ministers’ Meetings.
