The Southeast Asia Fiction Film Lab (SEAFIC) aims to strengthen the quality of feature-length films from Southeast Asian filmmakers by helping to advance their scripts and develop their projects.
SEAFIC Lab selects five promising projects from Southeast Asian filmmakers annually. Once a project is chosen by the SEAFIC Selection Committee, the director and main producer of the project will be invited to attend three workshops, held in Chiang Mai and Bangkok over the course of 8 months. During these workshops, participants will work with veteran script consultants, to develop and refine their work-in-progress scripts into feature-length screenplays.
Through Mobility First!, ASEF is supporting the mobility of 1 European and 1 Asian cultural professional to attend the SEAFIC Lab Session: #2, which will take place from 3 to 8 July 2019 in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
