Space One is an independent, artist-run space committed to supporting emerging and established artists to exhibit experimental contemporary works of art in multiple disciplines. Space One is also part of a network of International artists and art spaces creating projects and opportunities for exchange and collaboration. Space One is an arts and culture venue with strong connections to the arts community in Seoul, South Korea and beyond, and a mandate to support international initiatives.
Gender Hierarchy: Recycling its Errors is part 2 of an ongoing research project organised by Space One, that addresses the lack of awareness and need for more inclusive discourse on how hierarchy affects gender and society. This project then brings together artists, researchers, curators and theorists in the form of exhibitions, performances, lectures, talks and screenings.
Through Mobility First!, ASEF will be supporting the mobility of 2 European curators to be a part of Gender Hierarchy: Recycling its Errors from 5 September to 5 October 2019 in Seoul, Korea.
