Blind Signal started in 2016 as a bi-anual event dedicated to the exploration of electroacoustic performances, and promoting contemporary music by Berlin-based international artists. Within this positive work-time, Blind Signal concluded that the wealth of the contemporary music scene in Berlin could be celebrated by cultural exchanges with more geographically distant places. Blind Signal believes that new artistic creations born from exchange and closer collaborative networks within different geographies will allow supported artists to expand their personal creative trajectories whilst bringing exciting new sound worlds to audiences.
Blind Signal VTNM – GRMN aims to investigate the diversities and wide range of sonic practice by bringing solo artists and musicians to collaborate in different locations, which would be Germany and Vietnam for this edition.
The project consists of an artist exchange between artists in Vietnam and Germany and there will be two rounds of collaborations to further reinforce the existing collaborative performances and to add on to the overall experience for artists and audience.
Through Mobility First!, ASEF is supporting the mobility of 2 Asian artists to be part of Blind Signal VTNM – GRMN, which will be held from 17 to 22 September 2019 in Berlin, Germany.
