ASEF culture360 supports the FutureEverything 2016 – Less and More Festival on 30 March to 2 April 2016 in Manchester, United Kingdom.
For 20 years, FutureEverything has looked at big questions facing society through the lens of art and digital culture. Working to the theme of ‘Less and More’, FutureEverything 2016 explores how we can rethink resources within a world that is changing exponentially. The programme of the festival will include a conference with speakers including Mr Mathew LEUNG from 2015 Turner Prize winning architecture collective Assemble, designer Ms Stefanie POSAVEC, curator Ms Hannah REDLER and cellular agriculturalist for New Harvest Ms Abi Aspen GLENCROSS. There will also be an evening programme with live music and performance as well as a number of commissioned projects and installations, open to the public, around the theme of the festival.
ASEF culture360’s latest publications Creative Responses to Sustainability – Singapore Guide and Korea Guide will be widely disseminated during the event. Both guides are part of a new series of guides looking at creative responses to sustainability in different countries in Asia. They both feature a directory of the 20 most pioneering and significant cultural organisations contributing to social and environmental changes through their artistic practice and their respective countries. Stay tuned for the announcement of the new country guides in this series for 2016!
