What is Skills for Social Entrepreneurs?
Skills for Social Entrepreneurs is a capacity building programme that provides skills and support systems for a new community of social entrepreneurs. The first workshop took place in Yangon, Myanmar (21-23 May) bringing together about 30 social entrepreneurs from Asia and Europe, introducing them to investors and capacity builders. The idea is to encourage development of social enterprises strengthening cross-sectoral collaborations to sustain community development.
The second workshop was organised in Hanoi, Vietnam (18-20 June).
The key objective of the workshops is to create an Asia-Europe platform for exchange in social entrepreneurship and to initiate a network for social entrepreneurs and social investors from Asia and Europe.
Towards a Social Entrepreneur network: Exchanges between Asia and Europe
Asia Europe Foundation and British Council Yangon will support the collaboration of Social Enterprises in Europe and Asia through this initiative. This will provide opportunities for Social Entrepreneurs to come together sharing and learning from the various models of Social Enterprise evident in the two regions.
