OVERVIEW
Seventy participants from 15 ASEM member countries attended the workshop, which gave participants an opportunity to explore ways in which Asian and European publishers and copyright agents could work together to improve the flow of books between the two regions. During the workshop, participants discussed the needs and problems pertaining to book exchange between Asia and Europe, as well as possible ways of co-operation in view of these differences. The workshop contributed to the creation of a network of exchange and information of about 60 European and Asian representatives of publishing houses and copyright agencies.
