OVERVIEW

This ASEMUS public forum was not only the first such event in the Philippines, but it also marked the official handover of the ASEMUS Chairmanship from Steven Engelsman, Director of the National Museum of Ethnology (Leiden, Netherlands), to Corazon Alvina, Director of the Philippine National Museum.

Speakers at the forum also shared their views on the role of museums in advocacy, representation, and civil society.
